A male teenager who is a criminology student at school always found it hard to make friends, and socialise effectively so he spends most his time outside of school deeply researching into famous murderers and what causes them to inflict pain upon others. He usually stays awake playing detective based games and reading detective novels. Due to being very isolate and introverted, he often talks to himself as the protagonist daydreams unless he's in his criminology class studying the patterns and the various murderers' who've had their brain activity monitored.
In his dreams, he starts to witness a murder from the killer's POV and so in is dreams he starts to conform to his alter ego in his own bubble. As the days go on he contemplates whether what he saw was real. Then a news reports shows the the murder actually happened with the exact same logistics as the dreams he's been having for the the week prior.
He instinctively takes it upon himself to investigate the murder within his dreams as he adopts the theory of detective. (To demonstrate its a dreams its in black and white, and the attire worn by the main character is significantly different as he wears stereotypical detective wear). After the murders occur, the protagonist becomes familiar with another murder scene which suggests the protagonist only has a week in the dream world to solve the murder before it's actually happened. His parents start to become weary as they are concerned for his well being even though the rarely speak. One morning his mom wakes him up before he figured out a clue which would've allowed him to solve the murder scene but before his next dream sequence, the murder occurs. This causes an argument between the parents and the protagonist as he screams that he was so close at stopping the murder and saving the victim. Confused and lost his teacher start to debate the sanity of his student. A week after the initial nightmare, the dream becomes a reality as a murder of the same nature, he then has a week of nightmares consisting of a different murder scene which is somehow linked but the protagonist doesn't know how until he solves the murders. The pressure and time restraint he has in each dream to solve the connection which will in tale stop the murder in reality, he starts to become dedicated to sleeping, and when he's awake he's clearly become the binary opposite of himself from the start as he has become not focused as he can't stop thinking about the dream world, so his realities start merging and becoming unclear.

'Control' Draft Idea
The protagonist is of a local, male who was made an orphan when his parents died of natural causes when he was younger so he tends to put all effort in everything he takes part due to the fact you never know whats going to happen. As a result, the protagonist is naturally talented at athletics, boxing etc and as a whole, he is a good willed person as he often participates in charity events like the cancer research run.
The protagonist tends to hang round with his friends a lot as he takes respect and loyalty very personally as he has no blood rated family so he surrounds himself with his friends 24/7 as they keep him happy. Him and his friend go to a drug deal so his friend can get drugs for a upcoming party. However, at the drug deal the dealer tries to scam the protagonist's friend so as a result, the protagonist defends his friend and his reputation so he beats up the dealers enforcer. This frightens his friend as the dealer is someone you don't want to mess with as he is a big time dealer who has loads of connections. Surprisingly the dealer commends the courage and loyalty shown by the protagonist as it takes a lot to stand up for your friends.
The protagonist and his friends attend a house party in which the protagonist gets intoxicated and his friends get high, which slows down the reaction time of protagonist so it makes him vulnerable and weak. On the way back from the party, the two vulnerable characters are jumped by the dealers as the enforcer he beat up wants revenge. They first knock the protagonist off onto the floor, and as he gains and loses consciousness he witnesses his friend getting brutally murdered as the enforcer kicks his friend's skull in till the screaming stopped.
After gaining consciousness fully, he wakes up tied to a character in a dark room, a large light is pointed at him which causes him to become all delirious and confused. He is then re-woken with a fist to his skull, he is held captive as he is mentally broken and forced against his will to be apart of the dealer's group. He is torture for days until his mind cracks and causes him to follow the obedience and serves as the dealers new enforcer. ( A montage of torture and captivity )
As a sick and twisted 'graduation' test to test his obedience, the protagonist is instructed to murder the previous enforcer who the protagonist beat up at the dealers first encounter with the protagonist. As a result, the protagonist beats the enforcer to death with no remorse (Same way his friend died)#
Then as the months go by he cuts his friends from his life before the drug deal, He continues to commit himself to working for the drug leader who has manipulated him and mentally broke him by the excessive abuse which has led to him feeling no remorse or pity for the victims' families which he has caused so much pain.(His character is the binary opposition of his character at the start of the narrative).
( A short montage of the evil things that the protagonist has committed throughout the time he was not control of his actions)
(Towards the end of the montage, the audience see a flicker of doubt as he starts to develop and show remorse)
The protagonist starts to show remorse and the drug leader picks up on this but doesn't address it as he feels that it's not important because he's still in his control.

Draft Logo attempts
On the background of this logo I will green screen in a motion of the clouds moving in sped up version. While the moon in the centre stays in the same location.
In the background behind the moon in both of these images I will have a motion of a flame burning so it will add more depth in the logo which will make the production company look more professional and I will be able to use silhouettes of awards with the flame green screen behind it to get a recurring reference to the production company.

'Beneath the surface...' Draft idea
Plot:
Whilst on holiday celebrating their anniversary, the parents of our protagonist were tragically killed in the Tsunami that struck in Japan 2014. After the devastation of his loss, the 15-year-old protagonist is left to an orphanage while under intense psychological evaluation while they track down his closest known relative. He then moves in with a distant relative in an unfamiliar and remote town. The protagonist's suppressed depression and anxiety begins to re-emerge as he constantly feels alone. After months of feeling alone, the protagonist becomes friends with a young male who appears to be the same age (17). The friendship blossoms as the two characters hang out every day and share secrets about each other’s lives. As months go on weird encounters occur as the town becomes more alert when children start to disappear from their homes and it is widely broadcasted throughout the remote town via the local radio stations.
One evening near Halloween, the protagonist was alone at home, he is faced with a suspenseful dilemma as he fears he is not alone in the house, he is split between hiding and praying the intruder doesn't find him or fighting the intruder off and taking his chances in an action packed fight. He chooses the latter of both as he becomes filled with adrenaline. He starts off by hiding under a bed and takes his chances but the intruder sees through the common hiding place for scared children. As the protagonist is pulled out from beneath the bed he has the mind set to fight the intruder off but he knocked out, masked and gagged before he gets the chance to.
The protagonist gains consciousness in a stripped down room with greenery outside with is seeping through the floorboards. He soon realises the intruder is stood behind him...
The intruder and abductor was his best friend. The protagonist becomes Enraged, the friend explains how the children going missing isn't a coincidence... in fact he claims the protagonist is next as the town abduct and sacrifice children in a ritual as a thank you to god for the disease free town... he then claims to have saved him by getting to him first as he doesn't want him to get abducted as he is his only friend.
After the first attempt at escaping, the antagonist reacts badly and ties the protagonist to a chair and repeatedly beats him to teach him a lesson. The protagonist becomes paranoid as straight after the torture encounter, the antagonist takes no notice and acts like nothing happened which makes the protagonist question the sanity of both his captor, and himself. From this point bizarre encounters start happening. Such as the protagonist wakes up to his 'friend' watching over him and waking up with strange bruises and lacerations. Without any warning, his food becomes less and less frequent. This greatly drains his energy and leaves him feeling incredibly weak and possibly hallucinating
One day, the antagonist stands at the door and as he turns the key in the lock to open it, he smiles as he knows he is in complete control. He descends down the stairs while toying with his hostage by playing with his weaponry. Making the protagonist uneasy and afraid
The kidnapper glances over the protagonist as he his head faces the floor, not daring to look up and provoke him. As he approaches him he places the small bowl of food on the floor and tightly grabs his hair and comments on his courtesy, the protagonist shows disrespect by spitting into his face so the antagonist retaliates. Violently. After the atrocious act, the 'friend' softly runs his fingers on the
victim’s skin, the victim doesn't scream, he just sheds a single tear as he reminisces back to a time in his life when he had everything. As the protagonist pretends to sleep he acknowledges the antagonist’s presence and feels the icy cold breath on his neck as he whispers 'live as a monster; or die a good man'. Suddenly the protagonist sits up to catch him in the act but there was no one to be seen. This causes the protagonist to debate whether it's just in his mind. Or if he was still alone back at his distant relative’s house, trying to find anything to keep him interested and to stop the boredom taking over.
The protagonist starts to become paranoid and starts to debate whether the food his 'friend' is giving him is safe from drugs which are causing him to feel weak and on edge 24/7. As the protagonist hides away in the corner wanting to die, he begins to lose hope and contemplates suicide... until suddenly he witnesses the antagonist dragging a lifeless female body across the floor, he becomes weary as he feels that the female is the next victim. The door that has become to barrier to his sanctuary becomes unguarded, he is filled with both hope and doubt. As he slowly peaks round the corner of the door frame like a turtle coming out of it's shell, he is overwhelmed with exhilaration as he witnesses the kidnapper on the floor though he is still breathing.
As he starts to walk towards the front door, the antagonist grabs his ankle which startles him and which triggers paroxysm of fury, leading to him kicking the enemy in the face.
The protagonist makes it outside and sprints with every muscle in his body to escape that torture. He glances back as he hears panting and footsteps behind him but doesn't see anyone. On alert, the protagonist stumbles upon a location deep in the abandoned, desolate forest, the complete exterior of the trees and forestation are covered in missing posters. As the protagonist inspects the posters in more detail he notices that they're real posters from a collection of places all around England, and every poster is a different person even though there are mass amounts in this one location.
This fades out as its a flashback, it zooms out onto the protagonist as he watches over some dead bodies with a gun in his hand. The abuse and torture he relives every time he closes his eyes. This is what caused him to become what he is now, for what he was moulded by. He now spends every waking moment tracking down missing people and murdering the criminals who pray on the vulnerability in the hope he'll come across the guy who has caused so much pain to the protagonist.
The protagonist finds a love interest and as he starts to feel finally normal, but one evening, he finds the apartment messed up with a single note on the bed... ' live as a monster; or die as a good man'.
He then goes on a pursuit to track down the monster who has enflincted so much pain on him.
